FD RESPONDED FOR A REPORT OF A STOVE ON FIRE.  WHILE ENROUTE FD RECEIVED AN UPDATE REPORTING A KITCHEN FIRE.  4530 ARRIVED AND REPORTED SMOKE FROM A LARGE (2) STORY WOOD FRAME MULTIPLE DWELLING APARTMENT BUILDING.  WHILE STILL ENROUTE 4C35 ASKED 4530 FOR A REPORT AND 4530 REPORTED A KITCHEN FIRE.  4C35 DECLARED A WORKING FIRE.  4530 CREW STRETCHED (1) 1 3/4" HANDLINE AND PREPARED KNOCKED THE BULK OF THE FIRE DOWN.  GATES POLICE ASSISTED WITH EVACUATION OF EXPOSURE APARTMENTS.  OCCUPANTS OF APT G WERE RELOCATED TO THE REAR OF (2) GATES POLICE VEHICLES.  4C45 ARRIVED AND MET UP WITH 4530 TO ASSIST WITH A PRIMARY SEARCH.  4C35 AND 4512 ARRIVED.  4C35 ESTABLISHED COMMAND AND 4512 SECURED PRIMARY WATER TO 4530.  4522 ARRIVED AND WAS ASSIGNED TO CHECK EXPOSURES.  4C95-2 ARRIVED AND WAS ASSIGNED ACCOUNTABILITY.  PRIMARY SEARCHES REVEALED NEGATIVE RESULTS.  4C45 ASSISGNED SUPPRESSION WITH 4530, 4512 ASSIGNED OVERHAUL AND 4522 ASSIGNED EXPOSURE/EXTENSION GROUP.  NEGATIVE RESULTS FOR FIRE EXPOSURE IN ADJACENT APARTMENTS, 4522 FOUND A LIGHT SMOKE CONDITION IN APT H.  LT HOLLEY, S/O KIRCHNER ANDD FF103 ESTABLISHED RIC.  CREWS PERFORMED OVERHAUL OF THE FIRE AREA WHICH WAS CONTAINED TO THE KITCHEN AND SECURED UTILITIES TO THE FIRE APARTMENT UNTIL THE ARRIVAL OF MAINT.  FD PERFORMED MECHANICAL VENTILATION OF THE FIRE APARTMENTS G AND H TO EVACUATE SMOKE.  UPON ARRIVAL OF MAINT FD DETERMINED IT SAFE TO RE-ENERGIZE THE APARTMENT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE KITCHEN AREA TO PREVENT WATER PIPES FROM BURSTING.  PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ARRIVED AND DID NOT HAVE THE MEANS NECESSARY TO TEMPORARILY HOUSE THE OCCUPANTS SO RED CROSS WAS ALERTED FOR (4) CHILDREN AND (1) ADULT.  SCENE RELEASED TO PROPERTY MAINT AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.

4C35 CONDUCTED INTERVIEWS WITH MELANIE M. ARMSTRONG DOB 10/19/68 585-448-2325, MELANIE M. STOKES DOB 12/29/99 585-285-1944, CORTEZ E. ARMSTRONG-STOKES DOB 4/26/05, FANTASY S. STOKES DOB 7/23/04, AND CORION D. ARMSTRONG DOB 4/26/05.  MELANIE M. STOKES REPORTS SHE ATTEMPTED TO COOK CHICKEN NUGGETS ON A STOVE TOP USING A FRYING PAN AND OIL.  STOKES REPORTS SHE LEFT THE KITCHEN AREA TO RETREIVE HER CELLULAR TELEPHONE CHARGER.  AFTER BEING GONE FROM THE KITCHEN AREA SHE HEARD A POP AND SMELLED SMOKE.  UPON RETURNING TO THE KITCHEN AREA SHE FOUND THE PAN OF OIL ON FIRE ON THE STOVE TOP.  STOKES THEN WENT THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE ALERTING OTHER OCCUPANTS THAT THERE WAS A FIRE IN THE KITCHEN.  UPON EXITING THE BUILDING STOKES REPORTS THE KITCHEN ON FIRE.  DURING INVESTIGATION 4C35 DID NOT A LARGE QUANTITY OF CHICKEN NUGGETS ON THE COUNTER NEXT TO THE STOVE.
